Jahmene Douglas may team up with Katie Piper to front a campaign against domestic violence
Jahmene Douglas is set to front a campaign against domestic violence.
The 'X Factor' contestant - whose own father was jailed for torturing his mother - is planning to team up with acid-attack victim Katie Piper in a bid to shine a light on victims and abusers.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Jahmene has always said he wants his music to help inspire other people.
"Katie is desperate to work with Jahmene. They have both been through hell."
Katie was left permanently scarred after a former partner threw acid in her face, while Jahmene - who is mentored by Nicole Scherzinger on the ITV talent show - has regularly highlighted his feelings about respect for women.
He even performed at an event to raise funds for Women's Aid, which helps support abused women and children.
Jahmene said: "I really appreciate how kind everyone has been. I am over the moon to have raised awareness about violence against women. People have kindly made donations to Women's Aid and the public support has been incredible."
