Nick Hewer wants to leave 'The Apprentice'.
The 68-year-old former PR expert feels he is getting too old to assist Lord Alan Sugar on the show - but admits he would stay on if his friend asked him to.
He said: "There's another 'Apprentice' next year and maybe that will be the last.
"It has been 10 years and it's a bit of a milestone. I'm getting very old and I think I'm edging towards the hip replacement zone.
"If Lord Sugar wants me to do another series I'll do it.
"I owe him a great debt of gratitude because he rolled me into this thing and it's been a wonderful time."
Nick - who now hosts Channel 4 day time quiz show 'Countdown' - also revealed he received a ticking off from the tycoon over his harsh treatment of the contestants on spin-off show 'Junior Apprentice'.
He told the Daily Express newspaper: "He's brilliant with the youngsters. He gave me a clip round the ear for being too hard on them and said, 'Why can't you be nicer? They're only young.'
"He's able to temper his attitude very nicely and Karren [Brady] has two kids of her own so she's better with them and I'm the cruel one."
