Lewis Archer seeks revenge on Coronation Street
Actor Nigel Havers has revealed his alter-ego Lewis Archer will plot revenge on Gail McIntyre and Gloria Price on 'Coronation Street'
Lewis Archer will go on the war path in 'Coronation Street'.
Actor Nigel Havers - who plays conman Lewis Archer in the ITV soap - has revealed his alter-ego isn't happy to discover he's been conned by his friends and will seek revenge on Gail McIntyre (Helen Worth) and Gloria Price (Sue Johnston) after the women team up to see if his feelings for Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) are genuine.
Nigel told the Daily Star newspaper: "Lewis is hacked off. He confronts Audrey. This may well be the end of Audrey and Lewis, but you never know."
The 62-year-old actor - who has also appeared in 'I'm A Celebrity' and 'Downton Abbey' - recently renewed his contract to stay on in Weatherfield until next year as smooth-talking womaniser Lewis has proved very popular with viewers.
A source said: "Reports of Lewis being killed off were grossly exaggerated. The bosses love the way Nigel portrays suave Lewis - and so do the viewers - so it's great that he is going to be with us well into 2013.
"Everyone knows he has form for charming Audrey, Rita and Deirdre and word is he could easily have other lovely ladies in his sights."
