X Factor reject lands Doctor Who role
Pink impersonator Zoe Alexander has been offered a role on 'Doctor Who' despite her angry meltdown on 'X Factor' this summer
A controversial 'X Factor' reject has landed a role on 'Doctor Who'.
Pink impersonator Zoe Alexander may not have impressed Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos, Louis Walsh or Nicole Scherzinger with her bad attitude on the ITV1 singing competition, but BBC bosses weren't put off by her foul-mouthed rant and have signed her up for a role in the sci-fi drama.
She told the Daily Star newspaper: "It's great to be working on 'Doctor Who'. The people are a lot nicer than some you meet in TV."
It is not known what part the 22-year-old will be playing, but she seemed to be getting on much better with the 'Doctor Who' cast than with the 'X Factor' judges, who she claims set her up to look aggressive on TV.
She previously said: "They knew I had a bit of attitude on stage - which is nothing like I am in real life. When Gary Barlow told me I was just a Pink tribute act I was stunned - that's exactly what the producers asked me to be.
"They mocked me and made fun out of what I do for a living."
Zoe's angry exit from the show saw her strike a female producer, throw her microphone at the judges and call them all *****. The incident was caught on CCTV and the singer was shocked when the police arrested her the following day after.
