Louis Smith tops leaderboard
Louis Smith and Flavia Cacace topped the 'Strictly Come Dancing' leaderboard last night (27.10.12) with a score of 35 for their zombie tango
Louis Smith and Flavia Cacace scored an impressive 35 points on last night's (27.10.12) 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The Olympic gymnast looked visibly stunned when he was awarded three nines and an eight from the judging panel following his 'zombie tango' to Rihanna's hit 'Disturbia'.
Head judge Len Goodman told the couple: "I wish the clocks could go back right now so I could have another look at that because it was fabulous."
Despite previously being unable to set the leaderboard on fire, both Michael Vaughan and Victoria Pendleton experienced a change in fortunes last night, taking joint second place with 31 points each.
After her tango, Len told Victoria and her partner Brendan Cole: "This was a proper Tango. It was sharp and crisp. The whole feeling of it was good."
Michael - who was in the bottom two last week alongside departed Jerry Hall - won equally positive comments for his dance with Natalie Lowe.
Len said: "Last week you were this close to going and I'm so glad you didn't, because we wouldn't have seen this."
Bruno Tonioli added: "It was a miracle. I can't believe what we've just seen, it was really amazing."
Meanwhile, Lisa Riley and Robin Windsor failed to match their usual standard, with Craig Revel Horwood telling them their Charleston was "acted well, but danced poorly", earning a score of 26, the same as Nicky Byrne and Karen Hauer.
Sid Owen and Ola Jordan found themselves bottom of the leaderboard with just 17 points - four behind the next-place Fern Britton and Artem Chingvintsev.
