Scissor Sisters are taking an indefinite hiatus.

The 'Let's Have a Kiki' hitmakers - made up of Jake Shears, Ana Matronic, Babydaddy, Del Marquis and Randy Real - closed their UK tour in London last night (24.10.12) and told fans inside the Camden Roundhouse it would be their last gig for some time.

Jake said: "This will be the last time we will play in London for quite some time."

Ana thanked London fans, saying the UK audience were: "The ones who got us first - and always get us best."

To mark their hiatus they played an extended show, singing early hits such as 'Laura', 'Mary', 'Kiss You Off' and closed the show with a spectacular rendition of 'Filthy / Gorgeous'.

They also performed 'Fire With Fire', 'Invisible Light', 'Only The Horses', 'Shady Love', 'I Don't Feel Like Dancing', 'Take Your Mama' and Pink Floyd cover, 'Comfortably Numb'.

Although they are taking a break and have no new music planned, Jake has assured fans they will be back.

He said: "Don't you worry - this isn't the last you've heard of us."
