Denise Van Outen: Betsy won't watch Strictly
Denise Van Outen's two-year-old daughter refuses to watch her in 'Strictly Come Dancing' as she would rather watch 'Peppa Pig'
Denise Van Outen's daughter refuses to watch her in 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The TV presenter is currently taking part in the BBC One show but she admits two-year-old Betsy isn't that impressed and would rather watch 'Peppa Pig'.
She said: "Last Saturday I taped the show because she was in bed when it was on and I showed it to her on Sunday morning and went, 'Look mummy's dancing.'
"And she just went, 'I don't want to watch this, I want to watch Peppa Pig'. That was the harsh reality of realising she just doesn't care."
Denise - who topped the leaderboard with professional partner James Jordan on Saturday's show (20.10.12) - also says she's upset at claims she has an unfair advantage because she has been in a West End show.
She added to new! magazine: "Lisa Riley danced when she was young. Kimberley Walsh has danced. Dani Harmer went to stage school. And Fern Britton did the 'Strictly' Christmas special."
Radio Two DJ Chris Evans recently hit out at Denise's inclusion in the show, saying it was not fair as she had dancing experience.
He said: "Should Denise Van Outen be allowed to appear on 'Strictly' as she's appeared in a musical actually dancing?"
