Carl King murdered in Emmerdale live episode
Carl King was killed by a brick in the live episode of 'Emmerdale' - which celebrate its 40th birthday - last night (17.10.12)
Carl King was sensationally murdered in 'Emmerdale' live last night (17.10.12).
The businessman - played by Tom Lister - was murdered by Chastity Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) and Cameron Murray (Dominic Power), who both hit him on the head with a brick.
In addition to the death there were two births, one wedding and once cancelled marriage.
Carl's days were numbered when he began causing trouble at Chastity's wedding to Dan, running in covered in blood and telling them their union was a mistake.
He was later murdered after declaring himself indestructible.
Keen-eyed fans did notice some small slip ups during the live filming, with the brick used to kill Carl bending as it was made of rubber and Sammy Winward laughing when her face was pushed into a wedding cake.
Ahead of the filming yesterday, Sammy confessed the set was "buzzing" with excitement.
She said: "I'm amazed we are fitting so much into one hour of TV. It's a very ambitious project and the atmosphere is buzzing. I've worn Katie's wedding dress already, which is lovely.
"It isn't what I would have chosen but it is perfect because I look like a real rich bitch!"
