Lucy Mecklenburg and Mario Falcone call off engagament
'The Only Way is Essex' lovebirds Lucy Mecklenburg and Mario Falcone have decided to cancel their engagement after Mario was caught messaging another woman yet again
Lucy Mecklenburg and Mario Falcone have called off their engagement.
'The Only Way is Essex' stars decided to cancel their short-lived engagement after the Italian stud was caught sending flirty text messages to one of Mick Norcross' 'Sugar Hut Honeys' promotions girls.
Mario - who proposed to Lucy on a luxury yacht in Marbella - couldn't put his womanising days behind him and suggested the couple might be happier without the pressure of marriage.
He said in last night's episode of the ITV2 show: "We were happy before we were engaged. That ring, to me, is a symbol of the bad memories and everything that's happened over the past few months."
Lucy replied: "We're getting rid of the ring. It will feel weird without it, though."
The pair have both been accused of cheating in the past, with Mario regularly messaging other girls and Lucy admitting to a one night stand with ex-boyfriend Mark Wright.
The brunette beauty had confided in best pal Lydia Bright earlier on, saying: "It's so frustrating, I live with him, the dogs are there I can't go on a break from him. My dad's moved away and I don't have a bedroom there anymore.
"I'm not a stupid little girl, I know it's not right. But he's not physically cheated on me. I need to get out of the flat and give him some time to work out for himself what he's done wrong."
Lucy and Mario met up for a romantic night to try and resolve their issues - and he served her dinner in the buff - after Lydia failed to clear the air between them.
Mario fumed: "Yes I admit I'm in the wrong, but it's not the worst thing in the world."
