R Kelly has revealed that his infamous hip-hop opera 'Trapped In The Closet' is returning next month, and that it will last "forever".
R Kelly's 'Trapped In The Closet' is returning next month.
The R&B singer wrote and produced the original series between 2005 until 2007 but has said that he still has ideas for chapters that were never made, insisting that the hip hop opera will carry on "forever".
He revealed: "We just shot 20 chapters. They'll be coming out the day after Thanksgiving. 'Trapped In The Closet' is forever. I've got, like, a hundred chapters to come."
Kelly's videos - telling the story of a one-night stand that spins out of control into a web of sex, lies and deceit -became such a massive hit at the time that various parodies were made, including a dedicated 'South Park' episode with an animated version of him and 'Weird Al' Yankovic also recorded a parody titled 'Trapped in the Drive-Thru'.
As well as recording the episodes he has also kicked off his 'Single Ladies Tour' to promote his latest album 'Write Me Back'.
The 'Bump n' Grind' rapper is excited to be performing again and is looking forward to "shocking" people with his new material as this will be his first tour since having throat surgery last July.
When TIME asked him what he is most looking forward to on the tour he replied: "Just basically shocking people. I like to give people more than their money's worth.
"The production and the gimmicks. I don't want to just go out and do song to song to song. I like to create things before the song actually kicks in, little things you do to excite the crowd.
"I've been working on this particular show for maybe four or five months."
