New Bond Girl Berenice Marlohe says her main inspiration for the role was Dame Shirley Bassey.
The French actress - who takes on the coveted role in new 007 movie 'Skyfall' - is a huge fan of the 'Diamonds Are Forever' singer and used her to base her alter-ego Severine on.
She said: "Shirley is the incarnation of a Bond girl.
"She gives me the sense of a sexy, powerful woman and so I took a lot of my inspiration from her. She is so great and her voice - my God."
Berenice, 33, stars alongside Daniel Craig in the movie and recently admitted she thought the hunky actor was "boring" before she met him on set but now regards him as "sexy" and "attractive".
She said: "What you read in the magazines is very boring, because that can come across as one-dimensional. Personality and what you have to say for yourself in reality is what's important. So when I finally got to meet him (Craig), he had such a beautiful nature, very grounded, a very nice personality and a fantastic sense of humour.
"He's truly a great person. All of those things are what makes someone sexy or attractive."
