George Michael asked fans to imagine him as a "black girl" at his Symphonica show on Saturday night (13.10.12).

The 49-year-old singer performed a cover version of Rihanna's 'Russian Roulette' at his sold-out concert at the Earls Court Exhibition Centre in London and he joked the crowd would have to use their imagination when listening.

Introducing the track, he said: "I'm going to do something a bit modern now, this is a song by Rihanna. So just imagine me as a 20-something black girl!"

George performed several covers during his spell-binding set, including The Police's 'Roxanne', Johnny Mathis song 'Wild Is the Wind' and Nina Simone's 'Feeling Good' - which was accompanied by a video of a topless Dita Von Teese performing a burlesque routine on the giant TV screen behind him.

Before playing the New Order hit 'True Faith', George couldn't resist making a joke about his well-documented cannabis use as he explained what the song was about.

He cheekily said: "This next song was written by New Order, it's a song about addiction which I obviously know nothing about."

George even took a 'puff' of an imaginary marijuana joint as he strutted around the stage.

For his encore the pop superstar performed a medley of greatest hits, which he described as his "thank you" to his adoring fans, featuring 'Amazing', 'I'm Your Man' and 'Freedom'.

Former Oasis singer Liam Gallagher and his wife Nicole Appleton were at the concert and were joined by actress Tamzin Outhwaite and TV presenter Kate Thornton.

However, the 'Wonderwall' singer and his Beady Eye bandmate Andy Bell only watched the first few tracks of George's set before heading to the bar.

Liam was a guest at George's post-Olympics Closing Ceremony party in August and was seen partying with the Spice Girls.

Sassy pop and R&B packed with attitude from the multi-award-winning Barbadian singer actress, who has topped the UK charts again and again with hits including 'Umbrella', 'Only Girl (In The World)', 'We Found Love' and 'Diamonds.'
