Christopher Biggins: 'No more Surprise Surprise'
Christopher Biggins does not think 'Surprise Surprise' should return to TV because more original programming should be made.
Christopher Biggins does not believe 'Surprise Surprise' should come back to TV.
The camp comedian played a part in the original show - hosted by showbiz legend Cilla Black - when it first aired, but is unsure if it is a good idea for Holly Willoughby to host the new version of the programme, which helps people's dreams come true.
He said: "It was a good show and I loved being part of it with Cilla, but I just wish TV companies would stop constantly rehashing successful old ones. Why don't they think up something original."
Christopher - who in recent years has become best known for his role in pantomimes across the UK - thinks people currently are frightened of new ideas, causing them to only want to invest in old ones.
He added: "I loved being part of 'Surprise Surprise' but surely there must be other ideas out there? People seem to be frightened of new things. I have lots of ideas for new TV shows but no one seems to want to hear them!"
