Carolynne Poole: 'I'm not past it'

Carolynne Poole does not believe being over 28 means she is "past it".
The 'X Factor' contestant - who is mentored by Gary Barlow - is adamant she can bring her own style of music to the ITV show and does not believe the Over 28s category is a kiss of death.
She said: "I don't have to pretend I'm down with the kids. I know I'm not Jessie J.
"But I want to bring a bit of that fun country music to 'X Factor'. It's a pop show and I think I can bring big, epic songs and big production to it.
"We've got a bit of a bad reputation as a category but we're not the over-and-outs. We're not the past-its."
Carolynne - who has previously taken part in 'Fame Academy' - believes she is doing the show for all the older people who want to make a change to their life.
She told Hello magazine: "I'd like to do this for all the over 28s sitting at home who want to change their life but don't know where to start.
"I want to show them that 30s are the new 20s and we can be just as good as the young'uns!"
