Paddy McGuinness 'can't watch' old Take Me Out
Paddy McGuinness admits he can't watch the first series of 'Take Me Out' because he cringes at how he performed
Paddy McGuinness "can't watch" the first series of 'Take Me Out'.
The cheeky presenter admits he cringes when he looks at the initial series of the dating show because it was so cheap, compared to the slick Saturday-night show which it has now become.
He said: "The pilot was for a late-night student show, and it wasn't until about a year later that ITV called saying it was all happening and going to be a big Saturday-night show. I can't even watch the first series now - I was new to presenting and it was in this tiny studio with a cardboard cut-out dangling from the ceiling with 'Take Me Out' written on it."
While no couples have married yet, Paddy believes one may happen next year and he would be happy to go along to the nuptials.
He told Heat magazine: "There have been three engagements, and I think there's supposed to be a wedding next year. If someone does get married, we might try to pop along to the reception for a piece of cake."
