Britney: the comeback track
- 31 August 2007
Britney is set to reclaim her crown as the princess of pop following a troublesome time in recent months, which, amongst other things, lead the singer to shave her head.
The 25-year-old’s latest offering Gimme More is expected to hit the airwaves next week, a track produced by Timbaland associate Nate ‘Danjahandz’ Hills.
Her new album, which is due for release before the end of the year, will include musical endevours with J.R Rotem and Sean Garrett. According to Garrett, one of his tracks is a sure-fire hit.
“I guarantee it will shake up the world. It’s uptempo, out of control… it’s wowzers, produced by me and bloodshy.”
He added that he had held on to the musical equivalent of gold dust for Britney, despite much clambering to buy it.
Meanwhile, it has been reported that Rhianna’s summer hit Umbrella was on hold for Britney – but the singer never got back to the song’s creator Tricky Stewart.
The song became the longest running UK number one of the decade, sitting pretty at the top spot for 10 weeks.
