'Strictly Come Dancing' star Dani Harmer has split from her boyfriend.
The'Tracy Beaker' actress broke up from TV assistant director Graeme Livingstone last month, during her first week of ballroom training for the BBC One show.
However, she refused to let her heartache get in the way of her progress and has been putting all her efforts into learning her routines with professional partner Vincent Simone.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "The timing was terrible. Dani filmed her first show on Wednesday night then split from Graeme the next week.
"If anything was going to knock her off track this would have been it. But Dani is a tough cookie and she decided it wouldn't get her down.
"She must be hurting but she hasn't called off training - there has been no crying in the corner and she is very focused on the routines.
"She has told Vincent that she is determined not to let Graeme wreck things for her."
Despite problems in her personal life, Dani has been enjoying every moment of rehearsing for 'Strictly' and thinks ballroom dancing could be a long-term solution for staying fit.
She said: "Oh dancing is so much more fun than the gym. I hate going to the gym. I absolutely hate it! Dancing is so much fun, so basically you don't even realise you are losing weight. But, you know, it's not the main reason for doing it. It's just like a nice kind of bonus."
'Strictly Come Dancing' returns to BBC One TV screens on Saturday (06.10.12).
