The 'Dragons' Den' star was rushed to hospital yesterday morning (01.10.12) after suffering from a suspected heart attack but he is expecting to be released later today.

The Scottish entrepreneur, 63, was rushed to Darlington Memorial Hospital yesterday with chest pains, but reassured fans he is making a speedy recovery.

He tweeted from his hospital bed: "Hi. In hospital attached to a few wires feeling tired but am sure I will be discharged tomorrow fit & well (fit as a pensioner can be anyway)".

The millionaire added: "Today was my first trip inside an Ambulance & with siren wailing. Hope it is the last. LoL. (sic)"

'Dragons' Den' sees entrepreneurs pitch for investment from five venture capitalists known as Dragons.

Duncan - who owns successful health club, hotel and spa business The Bannatyne Group - is the show's longest-running member, having appeared in all nine series of the BBC Two show since it began in 2005.
