EastEnders' Jamie Borthwick enjoying love triangle
'EastEnders' lothario Jamie Borthwick - who plays Jay Mitchell - loves being involved in a love-triangle storyline
'EastEnders' actor Jamie Borthwick loves being involved in a love-triangle on the soap.
The actor - who plays Jay Mitchell - is delighted he is playing with the hearts of Lola Pearce (Danielle Harold) and Abi Branning (Lorna Fitzgerald) because it is the first time his character has had a love interest.
He said: "Jay didn't have any women for ages and now two have come along at once. It's like buses!
"It's so hard to act with these beautiful girls all the time. It's a tough job, but someone has got to do it."
However, if Jamie had his way he would end up with Lola because she is fun, as opposed to Abi who is a bit too "posh" for his tastes.
He added: "If he had to pick I think it would be Lola, even with the baggage. She's fun, whereas Abu is a bit posh."
Jamie first appeared in 'EastEnders' in late 2006 before becoming a regular character in 2007.
In 2008, the 18-year-old star won the Best Dramatic Performance From a Young Actor or Actress at the British Soap Awards.
