Tulisa Contostavlos wants Joseph Whelan back on X Factor
'X Factor' judge Tulisa Contostavlos is rooting for handsome singer Joseph Whelan to make a surprise return to the singing competition
Tulisa Contostavlos wants Joseph Whelan back on 'The X Factor'.
The 24-year-old judge was disappointed when the handsome father-of-one was eliminated at the end of the Boot Camp stage of the ITV1 singing competition, and admits she would love to see him voted back on the show.
Tulisa told the Huffington Post UK: "All of the judges have different opinions. Sometimes it's not unanimous and everyone is making different decisions. From the get go I wanted him in the competition.
"I think he's gorgeous but I was battled with on that one. I am actually a Joseph fan so 'hey, bring back Joseph'."
Joseph was sent home in favour of Jake Quickenden, James Arthur, Jahmene Douglas, Nathan Fagan-Gayle, Adam Burridge and Rylan Clark, who all join Nicole Scherzinger's Boys' category at the Judges' Houses stage.
However, Tulisa is hopeful that the hunky rock singer could return to the show by popular demand, musing: "I have no idea what the likelihood of that happening is, but I can say everyone wants a bit of eye candy every year and a nice male figure."
Joseph recently complained he felt producers gave him false hope by focusing so heavily on him and he was shocked when he failed to make the cut.
He said: "I just don't understand why they gave me so much air time then sent me home. I don't see how they can justify that."
N-Dubz star Tulisa - who is mentoring the Girls this year - has tipped James Arthur to win.
She gushed: "I'll tell you someone that isn't in my category, I absolutely love James Arthur.
"He's amazing. I think he's got an amazing voice. I think he's going to go so far in the competition - even a potential winner."
