Michelle Collins was convinced not to quit 'Coronation Street' by psychics.
The actress joined the soap as Rovers Return landlady Stella Price last year but thought about quitting after being panned for her attempt at a northern accent, until she was convinced otherwise by her life coach Simon and psychic Cara.
She told Spirit and Destiny magazine: "I was nervous to be joining 'Corrie' but consulted a dialect coach to get the accent right.
"So when I was slated, I seriously considered walking away. But Cara and Simon gave me the confidence to stay, to defy my critics and prove myself."
Michelle, 51, is in touch with her spiritual side, and claims to have been in contact with ghosts herself.
She added: "When I was 15. I saw my best friend's spirit.
"She was 16 when she suddenly died of a heart attack on a school trip.
"I wasn't scared. I've always felt that she has been with me throughout my life, guiding me.
"I also saw a ghost while staying in an old nunnery in Italy.
"I woke up in the night and saw a hooded figure at the end of my bed."
Michelle has also had visions of her past lives, and believes she has seen back to her life in Victorian times.
She said: "I've been regressed twice. I was a young girl, living in London in Victorian times and my baby had died.
"The fear has gone from my life. My aura is shiny and bright."
