Len Goodman reveals Strictly tips
Len Goodman is tipping Lisa Riley and Fern Britton to do well on 'Strictly Come Dancing' and doesn't think anyone has an unfair advantage
Len Goodman is tipping Lisa Riley and Fern Britton to do well on 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The 68-year-old judge isn't sure which of the celebrity contestants is the best on the dancefloor, but has heard good things about the 'Emmerdale' star's rehearsals, while he knows Fern will be a hit with viewers.
Asked who he thinks will do well, he said: "Who knows, but I've heard Lisa Riley can really shake it around. Fern Britton is popular among housewives too."
Despite criticism of contestants such as Denise Van Outen and Kimberley Walsh, who have both appeared in stage musicals in London's West End, Len insists no one has an unfair advantage.
He told this week's edition of new! magazine: "Yes, Denise has been in 'Chicago', and Kimberley probably went to stage school. Yes, the sports people have that ethos of training. But at the end of the day, none of them have done ballroom before and so that's why it's level."
Len and his fellow 'Strictly' judges Craig Revel Horwood, Bruno Tonioli and Darcey Bussell will be delivering their verdicts on the star contestants and their professional partners from October 6 on BBC One.
