Matt Smith loves 'ordinary' Who episodes
Matt Smith believes Saturday night's episode (22.09.12) of 'Doctor Who' shows just how alien his alter-ego is.
Matt Smith prefers "ordinary" episodes of 'Doctor Who'.
Saturday's instalment (22.09.12) saw the character reflect on his time with characters Rory (Arthur Darvill) and Amy (Karen Gillan) - in what is their penultimate episode - and he believes putting him in a normal setting in a family home showed how odd he can be.
He said: "I love the ordinary episodes, as that is when we see the Doctor at his most alien.
"He washes himself in a weird way and he plays a computer game and you are like, 'Woah, why is a Time Lord playing a computer game'. He gets bored and mows the lawn."
The episode has been described as a love letter to Amy and Rory, and Matt admits he has missed his co-stars since they have left the show.
He said: "It was terribly sad when they left and I do miss them as we are great chums."
Amy - who has been in the show since 2010 - will be replaced by Jenna-Louise Coleman as the Doctor's assistant in the series.
