Simon Cowell is returning to 'X Factor' tonight (23.09.12).
The music mogul will appear on the ITV1 talent show for the first time since he quit the programme to judge on the US version, and he will reveal which categories judges Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos, Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh will be mentoring.
Simon calls the quartet from Miami, where he is filming US 'X Factor', to give them the news and Gary seems delighted when he is told he will be in charge of the over-28s, with Tulisa equally as positive when it emerges she will be working with the girls, shouting: "Get in there!"
While Louis seems pleased to be mentoring the groups, Nicole is somewhat surprised that she has landed the boys category but then admits she is confident one of her contestants will win the competition.
She says: "I wasn't expecting that. But I'm super-stoked. I think we have a real contender, possibly the winner of 'X Factor'."
One of the wannabes Nicole could get to work with is Rylan Clark after he made it through to the next round in last night's (22.09.12) first Boot Camp stage episode, despite losing his voice after arguing with fellow contestants Gathan Cheema and Ottavio Columbro.
Shy supermarket worker Jahmene Douglas also made it through despite a below average performance of Maroon 5's 'Moves Like Jagger', the same song which Lucy Spraggan sang to try to impress the judges.
While Nicole branded Lucy's performance "awkward", the 21-year-old hopeful - who blamed her poor performance on not having her guitar on stage - was put through to the next stage of Boot Camp.
But there was not such good news for 'X Factor' wannabe Collagen Westwood, who downed a few contraband whiskey and cokes to ease her nerves before going on stage, but was then told to go home by Gary.
He said: "I have to say that was awful, absolutely awful, that's the worst audition of the day."
And after leaving the stage, Collagen hit back at the Take That singer saying she has "never liked him".
In a rant backstage, she said: "Gary isn't the holy grail of singing, I think Gary is just a bit mean anyway, I thought that from the beginning, I never really liked him, he was a bit horrible."
The 'X Factor' continues tonight on ITV1 at 7:30pm.
