Nominated in the Best Female category, Sande is competing with last year’s runaway winner Jessie J - who scooped four awards in 2011 – and Tulisa of N-Dubz fame. Sande has the chance to claim five awards including Best Song for ‘Next To Me’ and Best Album for Our Version of Events. Former X Factor contestant Rebecca Ferguson and singer Jessie Ware are also in the running.

Plan B faces stiff competition from Ed Sheeran and Professor Green in the Best Male category, while his album Ill Manors - a soundtrack to the film of the same name, which Plan B also directed - is up for Best Album.
