Fern Britton banned from Strictly rehearsals
Fern Britton has been ordered to delay the start of her 'Strictly Come Dancing' training to make up for the fact she previously appeared on a Christmas special of the show.
Fern Britton has been banned from 'Strictly Come Dancing' rehearsals.
The former 'This Morning' host and her professional partner Artem Chingvintsev were forbidden from joining other competing couples in beginning their training for the show following Saturday's (15.09.12) programme launch - when the celebrities were paired with their dance partners - in order to stop the presenter having an unfair advantage.
Fern and Artem were asked to delay their practice until tomorrow (19.09.12) to make up for any unfair advantage she may have after coming third in a 2010 Christmas special of the show.
Artem tweeted: "Have to wait till Wednesday to start training! Anticipation is killing me. Roll on."
Meanwhile, fellow competitor Victoria Pendleton has asked her partner Brendan Cole not to push her too hard as she fears suffering an injury.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Victoria is a very driven competitor but she also has to be careful. She doesn't want to do herself any more damage.
"After they were paired, she sat Brendan down and told him about her back problems. He promised to take them into consideration. But going easy on her doesn't worry him because he knows she demands so much of herself."
