Cheryl Cole is returning to X Factor for Gary

Cheryl Cole is only returning to 'The X Factor' because her friend Gary Barlow asked her to.
The 'Call My Name' hitmaker left the series in 2011 to be on the panel of Simon Cowell's new US version of the pop star search show but she was sensationally fired after failing to connect with American viewers.
She resisted Simon's offers to come back to the UK programme, but this year agreed to help Gary pick his final acts from the over 25 category at the judges' houses stage.
Simon tweeted, "Welcome back Cheryl. X," to announce her return.
But Cheryl responded by writing on twitter: "I saw Simon's tweet. I'm not doing this for him. I am doing this for Gary as he's my friend and he asked me to do it."
Although fans originally thought that Robbie Williams would be Gary's sidekick, Cheryl, 30, joined Gary at Boughton House in Northamptonshire this weekend to help him choose his contestants.
Gary publicly thanked her for her contribution, tweeting: "Thank you @CherylCole for all your help this weekend. The contestants and I loved having you there xx. (sic)"
Robbie will instead host a masterclass for this year's hopefuls during the live audition rounds as well as performing live on the show to promote his forthcoming solo album 'Take The Crown'.
Singer Ne-Yo will be helping Nicole Scherzinger choose between the boys in Dubai, Tinie Tempah is teaming up with Tulisa Contostavlos to pick the girls in the Caribbean and Louis Walsh will be joined by another ex-judge, Sharon Osbourne, to whittle down the groups in Las Vegas.
