Cheryl Cole's X Factor return
Cheryl Cole is to return to 'The X Factor' after agreeing to join Gary Barlow during the Judges' Houses stage of the talent show.
Cheryl Cole is to return to 'The X Factor'.
The Girls Aloud singer - who quit her role on the judging panel last year to take up a place on the US version before she was sacked by boss Simon Cowell - will help Gary Barlow choose his final acts for the live programmes during the Judges' Houses stage of the talent show.
However, Gary and Cheryl - who performed a duet at the Diamond Jubilee Concert in June - have kept the plans secret, even from show creator Simon, as the Take That singer had let everyone believe bandmate Robbie Williams would be helping him.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Only Gary's intimate inner circle know. He hasn't even discussed it with Simon or 'X Factor' bosses. It's been seriously top secret stuff.
"They're all under the impression it's going to be Robbie. No one even noticed the dates for the recording clashed with Robbie's new solo tour."
Gary is mentoring the Over 28s, while fellow judge Nicole Scherzinger has the Boys and is rumoured to be teaming up with Ne-Yo to help her choose her final acts.
Tulisa Contostavlos has been given the Girls and will be joined at Judges' Houses by Tinie Tempah, while Groups mentor Louis Walsh will receive help from Sharon Osbourne.
