Music producer Phil Spector twice threatened an employee with a gun, the Wall of Sound star’s murder trial has heard.

Devra Robitaille, a former girlfriend and employee of Spector, told the court that he had held her at gunpoint at a party in the 1970s and that she was forced to endure a similar ordeal in 1986.

Ms Robitaille told the court that, following the party in 1986, Spector refused to allow her to leave [She added: ‘The gun came out and he was holding it at my face. I went cold inside and I thought, “Oh, I can’t believe this. Not again.”’

Four previous female witnesses have told the court they faced similar situations involving the accused. Meanwhile, lawyers for Spector have said he will not be taking the stand. The producer denies shooting actress Lana Clarkson in his Los Angeles home in 2003. Spector’s lawyers contend the alleged victim was depressed and took her own life.
