Louis Walsh prefers UK X Factor to US
Louis Walsh believes the UK version of 'X Factor' is better than the US one because it has an "edge" to it
Louis Walsh thinks the UK 'X Factor' is better than the US version.
The Irish manager stood in for Simon Cowell on the US show earlier this year when Simon Cowell was ill, but despite megastars Britney Spears and Demi Lovato being on the judging panel, he thinks the UK show has more of an "edge".
He said: "I did two days on the American show because Simon was sick. I was sat with Britney Spears and Demi Lovato and L.A. Reid. I'd work on any of the 'X Factor' shows around the world, I love it.
"But I do think the UK 'X Factor' is different. I think it's got the edge on everything because we always get great personalities."
Louis is particularly pleased with how those who don't always win on the UK show - such as One Direction and Jedward - do well after the 'X Factor' has finished.
According to The Sun newspaper, he added: "The people that show up are incredible. The shows deliver pop stars like Olly Murs, One Direction, Alexandra Burke, Leona Lewis - it's not necessarily the people who win the shows that are successful.
"I mean, look at Jedward. They didn't win but they're still working all the time."
