Karen Gillan has confirmed she will never return to 'Doctor Who' in the future as she has a "no cameo" rule

Karen Gillan will never return to 'Doctor Who'.

The actress - who plays the Doctor's assistant Amy Pond - has ruled out returning to the programme in 2013, when the show will celebrate its 50th anniversary and she says she feels she's learnt a lot from the show.

She said: "I decided there'd be no cameo returns after I leave. I want the impact of the end of the Pond era to remain strong. I don't want to spoil it by coming back a few episodes later to say hello.

"I feel like I've grown up and that I can now handle situations a bit better because I'm a more assertive person. I'm starting to feel more like the person that I want to be."

Arthur Darvill, who plays her on-screen lover Rory Williams, admits it was "emotional" filming his final scenes on the show.

He told Radio Times magazine: "The script read-through for episode five was emotional. I had my hand on Kazza's back, trying to help her get through it. But I didn't want the actors who'd come in for just one episode to think we were really self-indulgent because we were all crying. It must have been really weird for them."

Ya know, I've been seeing this dreary thing since 1966, off and on.
It is so big in the states now to..... BBC America.
And I never understood the attraction to these never changing, beat down, ruddy old excuses for sci-fi. Ever noticed how the enemy (Darlicks or whatever) remain the same in every way.
Just tradition again me thinks.
Cheers
