Lauren Goodger quit TOWIE because of weight
Lauren Goodger claims she quit 'The Only Way is Essex' because she was feeling too panicky about her weight next to the other girls in the show.
Lauren Goodger quit 'TOWIE' because she felt fat next to the other stars of the show.
The 25-year-old beauty - who was one of the only original cast members of the ITV2 show left - felt she couldn't carry on appearing in the programme because she felt too insecure about her body image.
She said: "I felt under so much pressure. Most of the girls on 'TOWIE' are quite skinny and could wear what the hell they wanted.
"We all had different body shapes, and I'm not being horrible, but I don't like boob jobs or even want to be really thin - I just want to keep my curves and be a little more toned. But next to the others, I'd be panicking over whether my arms looked fat or how big I'd look if I was sitting down. I'm insecure and I need a break."
Lauren - whose most famous storyline involved her relationship with Mark Wright - is believed to want to leave to take part in 'Dancing On Ice', but despite taunts about her weight bringing her down she insists she has no regrets about taking part in 'TOWIE'.
She added to the Sunday Mirror: "I've bee tempted to quit loads of times, especially during the first series. I really questioned whether I could stick it out. But I did and I have no regrets."
