Cartoon celebrity chef
Jamie Oliver is continuing his mission to promote healthy eating to children in new way. Aardman Animations, the company behind Wallace and Gromit, have turned him into a cartoon character. Titled Little J, the cartoon series will follow a 10 year old Oliver on his quest to becoming a fantastic chef. The cartoon will be aimed at seven to 11 year olds, and features several wacky characters including a depressed ham, mad scientist Eggs Benedict and a “spiritual-cum-culinary guru” called Nonna. Oliver said: “I really want to pass on a little knowledge in a fun way, to really connect to the younger kids. I can’t tell you how passionate I am about kids and food.” The cartoon aims to inspire young kids to think positively about healthy eating.
