Julie Goodyear and Cheryl Fergison were the first contestants to enter 'Celebrity Big Brother' - and were immediately given a secret mission.
The 'Coronation Street' legend - who played brassy landlady Bet Lynch in the ITV1 soap - was the first to enter the iconic house to loud cheers from the assembled crowd after walking the red carpet hand-in-hand with a topless hunk.
Julie - who donned a sequinned cape, a black slogan tee, leopardprint horns and tight pink leopardprint leggings- said before she went in: "I'm looking forward to it, I really am. Bring it on!"
When she entered the house, Julie explained: "Wow, this is cool! Incredible."
She was quickly followed into the house by former 'EastEnders star Cheryl - who played Heather Trott - who vowed not to stand for any nonsense from her fellow contestants.
She told host Brian Dowling: "I've got a few things up my sleeve. I've got a few choice words if they do f**k me off a bit."
As the pair took in their surroundings, they were summoned to the Diary Room and told Big Brother wanted them to be "formidable drama queens" and turn the show into a "soap opera" for the next 90 minutes.
They were then given earpieces and told they would be given instructions as the show played out and the house would be "rewarded" if they successfully carried out the task.
'Jersey Shore' star Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino was third to enter the house and Cheryl was quickly given her first task - told to take the new addition to one side and reveal she hated Julie because he had an affair with her ex-boyfriend, much to the bemusement of the US star.
Julian Clary - who poked fun at Brian by calling him 'Davina', referring to former host Davina McCall - soon followed them down the stairs, with glamour model Rhian Sugden following entering to the sound of boos shortly afterwards.
Julie's first mission involved telling Rhian she reminded her of her "favourite barmaid" and warning her to be careful of the men in the house.
