Vida inspired by Spice Girls
New girlband Vida are inspired by the Spice Girls because of their "individuality"
Vida are inspired by the Spice Girls.
The new girlband - made up of AJ, Jade, V.Vee and Che3kz - admit they love the 'Wannabe' hitmakers, who are rumoured to be performing at the closing ceremony of the London Olympics, and particularly like their individuality.
Rapper Che3kz told BANG Showbiz: "We love the Spice Girls - they are like, one of the biggest girl bands of all time so we love them.
"I think the main thing we like about them is their individuality, so taking that and knowing yourself, like, 'It's cool to be yourself,' We don't all wear the same clothes, embrace the difference. It's cool to be different. We love that because we are all so different, we don't like to clone."
Despite a plethora of girl groups around at present, including The Saturdays, Little Mix and Mutya Keisha Siobhan, the Vida ladies believe they are bringing something different to pop music fans.
V.Vee added: "To be fair, although there are a lot of girl groups, I think they are all doing something different. There's a lot of space. We're going back to the girl power days!"
Vida's new single 'Boombox' is out September 9.
