Ryan O'Shaughnessy: 'BGT was life changing'
Ryan O'Shaughnessy admits his time on 'Britain's Got Talent' was "life changing", and he has no regrets about taking part
Ryan O'Shaughnessy found 'Britain's Got Talent' to be a "life-changing experience".
The Irish singer - whose self-titled mini album is out on August 13 - came into the show in controversial circumstances, as he was already signed up to appear in Ireland's version of 'The Voice', but he admits he has no regrets about the way anything worked out in the end, despite not winning.
He said: "My motto is don't regret, just forget! I don't think I'll ever be able to forget it. I know it's a cliché, but it was a life-changing experience. Since then I've just been doing what I love to do. I think everything happened perfectly, I could have been kicked off 'BGT' and 'The Voice'! It was all really positive."
However, he admits he was forced to vote for the eventual winners Ashleigh and Pudsey on the final as the dog-trainer asked him to backstage.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I'm a big fan of Ashleigh and Pudsey, I gave them a sneaky vote on the night of the final. I got my own number wrong. I did actually give them a vote, Ashleigh made me, I was speaking to her afterwards and I gave her a vote."
