Aston Merrygold wanted for Got To Dance
JLS star Aston Merrygold is being lined up for a judging role on 'Got To Dance' as producers of the Sky1 show think he'll be a great addition
Aston Merrygold is being lined up for a judging role on 'Got To Dance'.
The JLS singer is wanted by bosses of the Sky1 talent show to become a judge as he thinks he will be able to relate to contestants because he and his bandmates were runner-ups in the 2008 series of 'The X Factor'.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Producers feel Aston is perfect for the the show. He'll be able to relate to the contestants as he made his name on a reality talent show himself.
"But they will have to wait and see if he's available first."
Aston is well-known for his backflips and may be tempted to join Ashley Banjo, Kimberly Wyatt and Adam Garcia on the judging panel.
The show is hosted by Davina McCall and sees wannabe dancers audition in front of the judges before performing in the live shows.
Aston and his JLS bandmates, Marvin Humes, J.B. Gill and Oritse Williams, auditioned for 'The X Factor' in 2008 and finished second behind Alexandra Burke.
Despite not winning they went on to forge a hugely successful pop career and won a BRIT Award in 2010.
