Big Brother Scott makes suicide threat
'Big Brother' contestant Scott Mason says he will commit suicide if his beloved grandmother is not still alive when he leaves the house
'Big Brother' housemate Scott Mason has threatened to kill himself if his grandmother has died.
The 20-year-old student described his elderly gran as his "best friend" and admitted he would be devastated if he got out of the house to find she had passed away.
He told housemates: "She had better still be alive. If she's died, then I'll commit suicide.
"I'd want to though. She's like my best friend."
Channel 5 investigated Scott's comments but say they are "satisfied" over his emotional well-being and do not feel he needs to be removed from the show.
A spokesperson said: "Channel 5 takes its duty of care towards all housemates very seriously.
"We are satisfied Scott can continue on the show."
Meanwhile, housemates will be told today (30.07.12) that they will not be nominated this week.
Instead, their friends and family will make the choices over who will be put up for eviction, with one housemate leaving the show on Friday (03.08.12).
Earlier in the series, now-evicted contestant Shievonne Robinson claimed she was so depressed she was "on suicide watch".
However, she later dismissed her comment as a "flippant remark".
