TOWIE cast threatens to strike?
Gemma Collins, Mario Falcone and Billi Mucklow have all threatened to walk off the show because of low pay and poor working conditions
The 'Only Way is Essex' cast have threatened to walk off the programme over low pay.
Stars including Gemma Collins, Mario Falcone and Billi Mucklow receive £80 a day for filming on the ITV2 show, and are said to be infuriated after filming for 13 hours in the sweltering heat on Sunday (22.07.12) only to find the scenes cut from the show.
A source told The Sun newspaper:" A lot of the cast members have been complaining about how hard they are worked for little money.
"On Sunday a lot of them put in a 13 hour day and later found their scenes had been dropped. There are a lot of unhappy stars at the moment."
Producers were confronted by angry stars, who claim their own scenes have been cut to focus on the relationship between Gemma and James 'Arg' Argent.
Some are also said to have been angered they are not able to have a summer holiday because they filmed a special in the Spanish resort Marbella just last month.
Mark Wright, who left the show to pursue a separate career, has previously said he did not miss 'TOWIE' because there was a lot of "pressure".
He said: "I miss the people, 'TOWIE' is always going to be in my heart. I wouldn't necessarily say I miss being in it, it was quite stressful and it was a lot of pressure."
