David Hunter was voted off 'Superstar' yesterday (24.07.12).

The former boyband star lost out in the semi final sing-off to Rory Taylor, after they had performed Boyzone's ballad 'No Matter What' together. He was the last to leave the show ahead of the final tonight (25.07.12).

Giving his decision as to who to save, show boss Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber said: "When the talent is as good as this, the old reality show cliche that it is tough to choose is true.

"However, I'm now thinking really about the rock arena tour so I'm going to save Rory."

Rory will now take a place in the final alongside Ben Forster and Roger Wright.

Making his exit from the show, David told host Amanda Holden: "It's just been an amazing experience, being able to sing in front of this crowd has been great. I wish it had been that little bit longer but I've had a right giggle."

The final will take place tonight on ITV1, with the person who gains the most public votes gaining the lead in a new production of 'Jesus Christ Superstar', which will tour the UK.

The show will open at London's The O2 on September 21.
