Lord Alan Sugar has confirmed there will be two more series of 'The Apprentice'.

The business mogul has announced that series 10 of the hit BBC One reality show is likely to be its last when it airs in 2014, and he is already on a mission to recruit his next crop of bright business minds for series nine.

He posted on twitter today (16.07.12): "I have agreed to do 2 more series of The Apprentice, making it 10 years, To apply for next year's series go to...(sic)."

A BBC source told The Sun newspaper: "The bosses are delighted to have signed up Lord Sugar for two more series as 'The Apprentice' is an important show for them.

"Series eight might have started slowly but the audience gradually picked up - and Lord Sugar is still considered to be a ratings winner for the BBC."

Despite a dip in the ratings for last season, Lord Sugar opened online applications on July 12 to begin searching for his next business partner.

He tweeted: "Become my business partner with 50/50 share in a company. Apply for 9th series of the Apprentice."

Ricky Martin won Lord Sugar's financial investment in May with his science recruitment agency business plan.
