Nick Grimshaw is "super excited" to be taking over the Radio 1 'Breakfast Show'.
The 27-year-old presenter is replacing Chris Moyles - the longest running host of the show in its history - from September, and he admits he cannot wait to get started.
Nick - who hosted BACARDI Beginnings at Village Underground in Shoreditch last night (10.07.12) and attended the party with his pals Pixie Geldof and Jameela Jamil - said: "I'm super excited to be hosting the iconic Radio 1 Breakfast Show, it's been a dream of mine since the age of 11 and to be honest it hasn't really sunk in yet. I love Chris and have always looked up to him as one of the best broadcasters ever.(sic)"
The Manchester-born star currently hosts a night time show on Radio 1 and beat off contenders including Greg James and Scott Mills for the coveted job.
Ben Cooper, Controller at BBC Radio 1, claimed he was hoping Nick would be a "new generation" of listeners with him.
He said: "He will be an excellent host for Radio 1's new breakfast show, bringing a new generation of listeners with him."
