Girl band Quantro booted off X Factor
Four-piece girl band Quantro have been asked to leave 'X Factor' after one member allegedly glassed her ex-boyfriend
Girl band Quantro have been booted out of 'X Factor' because one member allegedly glassed her ex-boyfriend.
The four-piece group - made up of Carly Ahmad, Emily Dyson, Hannah Gray and Lucie Slater - made it through the audition phase of the show in Newcastle to bootcamp, but a recent incident involving Lucie and her partner William Scott Aitken meant the band were stopped from continuing.
Lucie appeared in court for wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm after he reportedly needed medical treatment following an incident on June 24.
She has since been bailed to appear at crown court, but 'X Factor' bosses told them they would not be able to go any further in the contest, and could not carry on as a three piece as the show was too far along.
Hannah said: "We got fantastic comments from the judges and we are just heartbroken. We have worked so hard to get to where we were.
"We can't thank people enough for their support and that's why the band is going to carry on."
Despite being asked to leave 'X Factor' this year, the group were told they were welcome to return in 2013.
