Mark Wright has been "really panicky" about the critical reaction to his new ITV2 show 'Mark Wright: Hollywood Nights', according to his sister Jessica.
Mark Wright has been "really panicky" about the reaction to 'Mark Wright: Hollywood Nights'.
The former 'Only Way is Essex' star left the show that made him famous to become a TV presenter before appearing in the new ITV2 show where he goes on an extended trip to Los Angeles.
However, it has been a critical flop - branded as cheesy and scripted - and according to Mark's sister Jessica Wright, he has not reacted well to the development.
She said: "'TOWIE' wasn't an overnight success, so I've told Mark not to worry. He's put so much of himself into the show, so it's hard to hear criticism. He has been really panicky about the reaction to it."
Mark has taken time out from his busy showbiz career to spend time with Jess' new boyfriend Ricky Rayment - who also stars in 'TOWIE' - and he has given her the "thumbs up" to their romance.
She added to Closer magazine: "Mark is so protective and sometimes forgets I'm older. He's tried to put me off my previous boyfriends, but he couldn't fault Ricky and gave him a massive thumbs up."
