Keith Duffy wants Coronation Street return
Keith Duffy would love to return to 'Coronation Street' but wants to spend time at home in Ireland with his family first
Keith Duffy wants to return to 'Coronation Street'.
The Boyzone singer starred as charmer Ciaran McCarthy in the ITV1 soap and although he last appeared on screens in November after leaving to spend more time with his wife and kids in Ireland, he admitted he would jump at the chance to reprise his role.
When asked by 'Loose Women's Jane McDonald whether he would return to the soap for a third stint, he said: "I would, I love the show.
"It's just, my family are based in Dublin and when I did 'Coronation Street', I was commuting over and backwards every weekend and it was very difficult.
"I made a conscious decision in September to come home for a year because my son was doing his big exam and my daughter was moving from national school to secondary school. I just needed to be at home for a year."
Kym Marsh - who plays Ciaran's ex Michelle Connor - previously revealed she would love if he returned to the soap.
She said: "I think it's about time Michelle had a new romance. It's been a while since Ciaran left.
"I loved working with Keith Duffy who played him and I felt that Ciaran and Michelle went really well together. I'm hoping Keith might be back at some point."
