Sarah Harding is recording a solo album.
The singer is preparing to launch her solo career in 2013, after a reunion with her Girls Aloud bandmates, planned for later this year.
She told BroadcastExchange.tv: "There's quite a lot going on this year, but it's in the pipeline right now, so I can't really say much about that!
"Next year I am preparing for solo material, so watch this space."
Sarah previously recorded three tracks for the soundtrack to film 'St Trinians 2' and has been in the studio to record
with dance producer Roger Sanchez, but no solo material has been officially released.
Sarah had reportedly been writing about her time in rehab for problems with alcohol, following her split from DJ fiance Tom Crane in 2011 and her short but tempestuous romance with Theo de Vries, who she met in rehab.
A source said in January: "Sarah's been jotting down lyrics and writing songs for the past few months.
"After the year from hell in 2011, she is now desperate just to get back to her first love - music.
"There is some very raw, heartfelt stuff - not the kind of thing people will be expecting. Sarah's had some pretty wild experiences and wants the album to reflect this."
It was reported at the time three record labels had approached her with offers to record an album.
Sarah's Girls Aloud bandmates have had varying degrees of success in their solo careers. Cheryl Cole has scored three UK number one singles and released three albums, while Nadine Coyle and Nicola Roberts have both released debut solo records. Fifth band member Kimberley Walsh has been working on non musical projects since the band went on hiatus in 2009.
