Gordon Ramsay has signed a £1 million year-long contract with Channel 4 that will see him make at least three new shows.
Gordon Ramsay has signed a £1 million contract with Channel 4.
The celebrity chef will make at least three new shows under the terms of the one-year deal - which comes just before his latest show 'Gordon Behind Bars' airs on the network - but he will not make another series of his popular programme 'The F Word'.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Gordon is excited to be signing for another year. The eight-year partnership has proved some of the highest rating shows on Channel 4, with the latest series 'Gordon Behind Bars' out next week, as well as a new series confirmed for the autumn.
"Gordon's on great form and thrilled to be back on Channel 4 next week."
Channel 4 are equally thrilled with the deal.
A network source said:" Gordon is a key part of our success and we're delighted he's staying with us.
"He remains Britain's most entertaining chef and we see him as an integral part of our schedule."
Meanwhile, Gordon was left feeling "stupid" when items from his kitchen - including food and a knife - went missing while filming 'Gordon Behind Bars' in Brixton prison.
He told the inmates: "This makes me feel stupid.
"That gets me into serious s**t and you're letting me down. We cannot steal from the kitchen. We stop this now."
The series sees Gordon take a team of 12 prisoners and set up a business behind bars.
