'Coronation Street''s Antony Cotton has revealed there is a shock split ahead for Sean and Marcus.
The 36-year-old actor, who plays loveable barman Sean Tully on the ITV1 soap opera, has announced that an upcoming storyline will see Sean become jealous and paranoid about boyfriend Marcus Dent's (Charlie Condou) close friendship with his work colleague Aiden.
Speaking on chat show 'This Morning' today (20.06.12), Antony explained: "Sean, all of a sudden, is jealous. Well actually, there's a reason why, because Marcus has spent loads of time with Maria and now this Aiden's tipped up, so it's getting on his nerves, I think.
"That's quite understandable."
Whilst he added that the script writers hadn't planned for Marcus to be unfaithful to Sean, he hinted Marcus' friendship with Aiden would change in the future.
Antony said: "It's not the case at that moment. But we must all learn to honour our instincts, because I think that Sean's instincts might prove to be right. And I can't say any more than that!"
The actor also added that the lovers' tiff could be permanent, explaining: "They do want different things. Sean already has his son Dylan and it's a big responsibility, so he doesn't want to do something just for the sake of keeping something going that maybe has run its course."
