Friendly Fires brought Beach Break Live festival to a close yesterday evening (17.06.12).
The 'Jump in the Pool' group concluded the music event by blasting out hits including 'Hawaiian Air', 'Live Those Days Tonight' and 'Paris' to 17,000 revellers enjoying a sunny day at Pembrey Country Park, South Wales.
Earlier in the day, the Maccabees and Ben Howard warmed up the crowd ahead the main event, with the 25-year-old singer/songwriter encouraging the audience to help, by exercising their vocal cords by singing along to 'his tracks The Fear' and 'The Wolves'.
Dizzee Rascal headlined on Saturday night (16.06.12) and stunned the crowd with a greatest hits set including 'Fix Up, Look Sharp', 'Jus' A Rascal', 'Dance Wiv Me' and 'You Got the Dirtee Love', complemented with fireworks, smoke bombs and an array of special effect stage lighting.
The rapper concluded his performance by playing 2009 single 'Bonkers' - which shot to number one in the UK charts - twice during his encore.
DJ Fresh, Wretch 32 and Labrinth also took to the stage earlier in the day following on from Friday night's (15.06.12) headliners Chase and Status, fresh from winning over droves of heavy metal fans at Download festival the week before.
The drum and bass duo covered Rage Against the Machine's 'Killing in the Name Of' and placed Plan B's head on screens for his vocal parts in tracks 'Pieces' and 'End Credits'.
