'EastEnders' Jo Joyner promises fireworks for the Brannings

'EastEnders' star Jo Joyner has promised there will be plenty of drama in store for the Branning family.
The 34-year-old actress - who has played cancer survivor Tanya Branning in the BBC One soap for the last six years - revealed "heart-rendering scenes" for the Branning family are showing no signs of slowing despite the actress taking a break from the show next year.
Jo said: "It's going to be a very busy time for Tanya and her family. We're currently filming some heart-rending scenes with her mother Cora (Ann Mitchell) and I've heard Christmas is going to be a whopper."
The blonde beauty - who is taking a break from the soap to spend more time with her husband Neil Madde and three-year-old twins Freddie and Edie - also has her hands full with her onscreen other half Max Branning (Jake Wood).
Max has kept Tanya in the dark about what he got up to in Manchester last year and when the put-upon mum confronts her love rat ex-husband about his secret keeping, and the father-of-three reaffirms his love for the beautician and surprisingly pops the question.
Speaking about the shock proposal, Jo told Inside Soap magazine: "It's a surprise, isn't it? But you'll have to wait and see what Tanya's reaction is. Max is still in the doghouse at this point after all!"
